Highest Quality Synthetic Insulation
We've used compressible 60gsm PrimaLoft® Gold Active insulation, the highest quality synthetic insulation available with a high warmth-to-weight ratio for cold conditions. PrimaLoft® is the ideal insulation for damp or changeable conditions. Its fibres don't absorb water and are treated with a special water repellent, keeping their insulating ability even when wet.
Breathable Warmth on the Move
We've combined this insulation with a breathable and wind-resistant outer fabric. This means you can wear the Katabatic as either an outer layer (like a fleece and softshell combo) or as a super warm midlayer under your waterproof. The air permeable outer fabric lets out excess heat and sweat out to keep you comfortable even when you're working hard – no boil-in-a-bag feeling here.

Designed for Activity

This jacket is so versatile, that we couldn’t possibly mention all the activities it’s been used for without writing a novel – it's even been used for arctic fat biking! The active cut with articulated arms is designed to give you full freedom of movement. And the close-fitting hood can be worn under helmets.
